Socotri Women Foundation

The Socotri Women's Foundation for Response and Development was established on January 13, 2021, due to the urgent need for a development institution that works in the field of response and development in general, and in the field of developing Socotri women in particular, in the Socotra Archipelago Governorate. This is because this island has special needs in various fields, especially considering that women have not received their fair share of development work like other areas. Given the vision of the founders of the Socotra Women's Response and Development Foundation regarding the importance of this island and the consideration of the actual needs of women, and due to the aforementioned reasons, the Socotri Women's  Foundation  for Response and Development was the only and pioneering institution to work in this island. Through its establishment in Socotra Island and its founders being natives of the island, the foundation aims to effectively contribute to the development of women through local development by carrying out various activities in partnership with the public and private sectors, civil society organizations, and international organizations. This general objective can be translated into the following direct objectives.
